The Wingate Scholarships
These scholarships were created from the generous donations of the Harold Hyam Wingate Foundation.
Ravensbourne is delighted to offer 3 scholarships of £2,000 per year to students enrolling on one of the following courses:
BA (Hons) Digital Film Production
BSc (Hons) Broadcast Systems Technology
Number of scholarships: 3 for academic year 2018/19
Total value per scholar: £6,000
Deadline: 31 May 2018
Eligibility
The Scholarships are awarded primarily on academic merit and on the strength of a video submission. The student will be selected by the scholarship panel alone, whose decision will be final. No appeals will be received.
Scholarship applications will only be accepted from students who:
- Have received a conditional or unconditional offer from Ravensbourne of a place on BA (Hons) Digital Photography, BA (Hons) Digital Photography or BSc (Hons) Broadcast Technology
and also
- Are permanently resident in either the London Boroughs of Greenwich, Newham or Southwark
or
- Are the first in the family to attend higher education
How to apply
Applications should be by video submission telling the panel:
- why you should receive a Wingate Scholarship including examples of your academic success;
- what your career ambitions are following your time at Ravensbourne; and
- how you plan to make an impact in the creative industries.
Videos should be no longer than 2 minutes - please show creativity with your submission to reflect Ravensbourne's media and design focus.

Selection process
Applications should be received no later than 23:59 on 31 May 2018. Selection is made by a scholarship panel and successful applicants will be notified by 30 June 2018. All decisions of the panel are final and cannot be appealed.
Scholarship payment
Scholarships will be given in a schedule of payments throughout the 3 years of the course once a recipient has enrolled on the chosen course at Ravensbourne.
If you withdraw or interrupt your studies, you may need to repay part or all of your scholarship award. Any possible repayment will be discussed with you and you will be advised of any balance which needs to be returned to Ravensbourne.
